HSE Ransomware Attack

Dear Patient,

We are open.

As you may be aware, there has been a significant Cyber-attack on the HSE and Department of Health IT systems over the last few days. We would like to assure you that this does not affect the medical records we retain in Suffolk street Surgery and we continue to take all necessary steps to maintain IT security in our practice.

Some services will be affected over the next week:

Blood tests – We have been asked by the HSE not to send any blood samples to the labs at this time. We can accommodate these type of appointments once the issue has been resolved.
CervicalCheck – these appointments are currently suspended.
Radiology and X-ray services – urgent referrals only.
Dept. of Social Protection electronic certification – this facility has been shut down as a precautionary measure, for now.
COVID-19 Testing – if you have symptoms, please contact us for advice. If a test is required, you will be directed to your local testing centre.

ALL OTHER PATIENT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE
