ECG Test (Electrocardiogram)

The surgery has an Electrocardiograph (ECG Test) machine which is routinely used during our Well Man or Well Woman health screening appointments.

An ECG test machine is a harmless and painless way of recording heart activity via electrodes positioned on the surface of the skin and is used to diagnose various heart disorders which produce abnormal patterns on an ECG read out.

The ECG test can be performed during a routine consultation. If you are experiencing palpitations or chest symptoms, don’t delay in making an appointment for an ECG test with one of our doctors. If you feel urgent attention is required, please let the receptionist know.
