Ear syringing / Irrigation

We provide an ear syringing service in Suffolk Street Surgery.

From time to time, wax build-up can block the ear canal to cause dulled hearing or discomfort. Ear syringing, or ear irrigation as it’s also known, uses warm water to painlessly clear wax build-up in the ear.

This can be done any time of the day, any day of the week, during a routine consultation.

If you think you have build up of wax in your ear please instill some olive oil drops or wax softener for 3 days prior to syringing as it will make the procedure easier and more effective.
